What clothes should we bring for the monkeys?
Bring at least 3 outfit options as we can usually get through at least 2, even with the fussiest of children. We suggest picking clothes according to season. Please avoid outfits with large graphics or logos like Elmo or Sponge Bob. They just don’t photograph well and can distract for your little one. Please also note that tops with text like “Cute like my mama” can also be hard to see or read if the child is sitting so we suggest avoiding these.
What if my child gets sick or injured?
Firstly, our thoughts are with you. There is almost nothing worse than a sick or injured child. Secondly, from the last 8 years in business we have found that kids have a sixth sense for when it’s photo day and will invariably fall over, give themselves a black eye, or a scratch on their cheek. If they are not super sick or hurting you can usually bring them in and we can retouch out the blemish for a small fee, for your ordered prints.
If they are really sick and you cannot make it in and if you can give us a 24 hour notice we will hold your session fee to be used at a later date. If you choose to not wait until the next event day you will just incur the additional Special Set Up Fee.
Can parents jump in to a few pictures?
Yes! For only an extra $15 we will set up quick family portrait for you. You must let us know as time of booking if you want to “Jump In” so we can prep accordingly. Parents should wear neutral colors that will match one of your child’s outfits. Here are some tips on one of Nicola’s Pinterest Boards: www.pinterest.com/nicolaborland/what-to-wear/
Are all the digital files included in the session fee?
No, but they are included in each collection in varying amounts or on our a la carte menu.
